ATHENS INTERNATIONAL TOURISM & CULTURE EXPO 2024

For the eleventh consecutive year, the Athens International Tourism & Culture Expo, the dynamic international Exhibition-institution for tourism professionals, was held with great success, sealing, as every year, the dynamic international visibility and promotion of incoming Greek Tourism from 40 countries. The B2B meetings were completed with complete success and many commercial agreements were initiated between Exhibitors and Hosted Buyers, while many more are expected in the future.
At the same time, the Hosted Buyers announced to the organizer that they will greatly increase their outgoing tourism in Greece, covering all sectors of our tourism.

The Opening of the Exhibition was held by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Elena Rapti, in the presence of the Member of Parliament of Zakynthos, Mr. Dionysis Aktypis, the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism of the Region of Crete, Mr. Kyriakos Kotsoglou, the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism of the Region of Peloponnese, Mr. Thanasis Michelogonas, the Mayor of Zakynthos, Mr. Giorgos Stasinopoulos, and the President of INSETE, Mr. Giorgos Vernikos.

The selected Hosted Buyers from 40 markets conducted more than 5,100 B2B with Exhibitors from all tourism sectors as well as with tourist destinations. Particularly impressive was the fact that most Hosted Buyers participated in the B2B with clear and specific requests which were fully satisfied by the Exhibitors due to their large geographical spread but also due to the variety and quality of their services.

An important event of the Exhibition was the promotion of Crete to the Hosted Buyers by the Deputy Regional Governor of Tourism, Mr. Kyriakos Kotsoglou, who presented Crete as a tourist destination with exceptional clarity, while the gifts and Cretan "goodies" that were distributed delighted the Hosted Buyers.
During the Opening Ceremony, the Exhibition organization awarded IEK DELTA and its students for staffing the Exhibition sections, as well as for the creation and presentation of the Hosted Buyers' meals.
