5th ATHENS INTERNATIONAL TOURISM & CULTURE EXPO 2018
The 5th Athens International Tourism Expo, the official tourism exhibition in Athens, with its expiration, gave the market, for another year, the excellent results of an organized and very successful tourism fair.
The exhibition was held on 7-9 December at the Metropolitan Expo with the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the support and participation of the Greek Tourism Organization. The Honored Country of the Fair was Lebanon, which was involved with many and very important companies. The exhibition was attended by more than 300 exhibitors, from Greece and abroad, who covered the entire range of Greek tourism.
The success of the report is summarized in the following real numbers:
More than 6,000 visitors, from Greece and abroad, gave impetus to new collaborations with exhibitors covering all sectors of tourism.
- A record number was the 7,500 B2B exhibitor meetings with the 150 leading Hosted Buyers of the exhibition attended by 40 countries.
- The professional character of the Exhibition stamped 92% of visitors who were tourism professionals and mainly hotels, villas and travel agencies.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism Ms. Elena Kountoura with the Minister of Tourism of Lebanon, Mr. Avedis Guidanian, in the presence of many officials, and after the greetings they jointly gave a press conference.
Lebanon participated with a highly impressive pavilion that hosted many Lebanese inbound and outbound tourism companies.
B2B was crowned with great success and gave Exhibitors the opportunity to enter into trade agreements with 150 leading Tour Operators, Travel Agencies and MICE from 40 countries. After the B2B meetings were concluded, exhibitors were completely satisfied with the high level of Hosted Buyers and Hosted Buyers confirmed new trade agreements with Exhibitors.
